At first glance of the NTR you’re aware that it’s very special and uniquean intricate blend of art and science. Designed to hang in the world’s finest recording studios and performance halls equally as well as home studio spaces, its existence is a labour of love for RODE. Every element of the NTR, from the transformer to the ribbon element itself, has been designed and created in-house at RODE’s headquarters in Sydney, Australia. All with the aim of crafting the finest ribbon microphone available.Sonically, the NTR is capable of reproducing unprecedented high frequency detail and accuracy, addressing common criticisms of other ribbon microphones, while opening up the possible usage scenarios considerably. This allows it to record sound sources that usually require a more sensitive microphone element. One of the thinnest ribbons in existenceMeasuring only 1.8 microns, the NTR ribbon was designed to provide the highest level of sensitivity across the useable frequency response range.Laser etched elementMost ribbon microphone manufacturers manually cut the element, resulting in microscopic frays along the edges that decay over time. RODE uses a proprietary laser technique to cut the NTR ribbon, giving a far more precise cut with smooth edges, increasing its longevity.Internal shock mountingThe NTR’s integrated shock mounting is so effective an external shock mount is not required.Custom transformerMarried to RODE’s ribbon element is a high output, ultra-low noise, low-impedance transformer. This ensures maximum fidelity between the NTR’s ribbon motor and electronics.World-class active electronicsIn combination with the transformer this allows the NTR to be used with a wide range of preamps without the additional gain requirements of many other ribbon offerings.Travel screwThis secures thAudioFrequency response: 20Hz to 20kHzMax SPL: 130 dBConnectivity: XLRPattern and typeCapsule: RibbonPattern: Figure-8Type: MountedApplications: StudioPhantom power required: NoSize and weightWidth: 65mmHeight: 216mmDepth: 65mmWeight: 1047gmIncluded accessoriesCase: PouchClip: PlasticPower supply: No

Like the NT5, the RDE NT55 is a small-diaphragm, true-condenser cardioid microphone, sometimes referred to as a ‘pencil mic’. The NT55 adds both a three position pad (0, -10dB, -20dB) and three stage high pass filter (Off, 75Hz, 150Hz), and includes the interchangeable NT45-O omnidirectional capsule.Intended for recording acoustic instruments, drum overheads, cymbals and live performances, the compact externally polarized mic employs a 1/2 capsule, an active J-FET impedance converter with bipolar output buffer. Its tight cardioid pickup pattern also makes it ideal for use as an indoor dialogue microphone for filmmaking on a mic stand or boom. Finished in durable satin nickel, the NT55 available as a single microphone or as an acoustically matched pair. The NT55 is designed and made in Australia, and covered by RDE’s industry leading 10 year warranty.Externally biased condenserCardioid or Omni polar pattern using included interchangable capsulesGold sputtered 1/2Ã?ÂÂ? capsuleThree position PAD – 0dB, -10dB and -20dBThree position High-Pass Filter – flat, 75Hz and 150HzSurface mount circuitryLow noiseCertified Matched Pair

Rode Microphones Svmx Broadcast-Grade Stereo On-Camera MicrophoneRode Microphones Svmx Broadcast-Grade Stereo On-Camera Microphone
The Stereo VideoMic X is the ultimate broadcast-grade stereo microphone for on-camera use. Utilising all-metal construction, it is incredibly robust making it ideal for regular professional use, while also providing high levels of resistance to RF interference. The mic features a matched pair of 1/2Ã?ÂÂ? true-condenser capsules, configured in a stacked X-Y configuration, providing a highly-immersive soundscape. Each capsule is supported by the Rycote Lyre shock-mounting system, providing isolation from vibration as well as knocks and bumps. Digital switching on the rear of the SVMX allows the user to control the level adjustment (-10dB or +20dB), high-pass filter (0/75/150Hz) and an innovative high-frequency boost (+6dB @ XHz) designed to boost the intelligibility of dialogue. In a first for the VideoMic range, professional-grade balanced outputs are available on the side of the body, in addition to the RF shielded 3.5mm stereo output cable. An outer dome structure provides physical protection for the sensitive capsules, while reducing wind noise in the same manner as RDE’ RedDot-winning Blimp.Acoustically matched true condenser capsulesRycoteÃ?® Lyre onboard shock mountingBalanced professional XLR outputHeavy-duty, lightweight aluminium constructionHigh Pass Filter9V or Phantom Power (P48 – via miniXLR)Level adjustmentHigh Frequency BoostIncludes SC2 TRS cable, pop sheild and wind shield
